Kinsey is a licensed professional electrical engineer in the state of Washington, he is also an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Flash ActionScript and as a certified Flash Instructor.

He has worked for several companies and colleges such as Boeing, Renton Technical College, Bellevue College and the University of Washington.

Kinsey is married to his wife Diane, with 2 children (Amanda and Kris) and has 4 grandchildren (Sarah, Keira, Ryleigh, and Piper). He currently lives in AuburnWashington with his wife.

His hobbies include Sailing, Electronics, Robotics (He has appeared on the second season of Robotica), Magic, Harmonica, Inventing and Food (both cooking and eating). He has also taught "Beer Appreciation" classes.
